Abstract

The paper viewed Biology and Biology education, Chemistry and Chemistry Education as well as Physics and Physics education and their status in Nigeria. In addition, concepts of science education and national sustainable development were discussed with their various challenges. The paper was concluded with recommendations that the government at all levels as well as the school authorities should aid the promotion of science education in order to ensure the sustainability of the national environment
